Great school, had truly great experience learning to write, learning basic stand-up techniques, and transforming real life story into stand-up comedy. I find Jeff good at identifying your character to help you write appropriate material. Jeff has ability to deliver feedback in a way that is encouraging and easy to implement. This school is a great place to experiment, as beginner to write your first material, or veteran working on a new set. Good luck!

Jeff is a great teacher and a veteran in the comedy game. He helped me structure my set in a way to maximize the funny. His feedback and the suggestions from the class make jokes that weren't working work. Every week he brings in other professional comedians to give their feedback as well. The showcase in the end is great because you get the material on its feet and find out if you got what it takes. I loved this class so much I took it twice!

Awesome is an understatement for describing Jeff Hodge' School of Comedy. The classes are challenging but lots of fun. I have met and laughed with some super individuals. Jeff is an excellent and an extremely knowledgeable instructor. He always offers suggestions for growth and improvement.

I took the Jeff Hodge comedy class starting in January 2018. I am a screenwriter who wanted to learn how to be a funnier writer. Jeff taught me how to take portions of my life story and make them humorous for an audience.
At the end of the class, I participated in the student showcase and a couple of comedic events after the showcase. I exceeded my own expectations at every event.
I learned a lot about what it takes to be a comedian. It's harder than it looks.
Jeff can be hard on students but he's teaching us how to be funny. In our class there was a grumpy student and she fought a bit with the instruction. But Jeff stayed the course and me and my other classmates made the most out of it.
I highly recommend this class to anyone who is willing to step outside of their comfort zone.
